Viresco pond treatment includes two specialised products: Viresco Aqua and Viresco Koi. Both are highly concentrated, freeze-dried blends of beneficial micro-organisms, packaged in small quantities capable of treating ponds of up to 68,200 litres.

These products contain:

  • Organic waste-digesting bacteria

  • Nitrate-removing bacteria

The nitrate-removing bacteria convert nitrates into harmless nitrogen gas, which escapes naturally into the atmosphere. Once nitrates are removed, algae—including blanketweed and suspended green water algae—are deprived of their food source and gradually die off through starvation.

How to Apply Viresco Aqua and Viresco Koi

  1. Dissolve the powder in a small container of pond water

  2. Leave for several hours (preferably aerated with an air-stone)

  3. Add more pond water

  4. Distribute evenly around the pond in the evening

Keep the mixture shaded indoors while activating to protect bacteria from UV light.
